Dedicated Facility Pharmacist

To ensure optimal communication and service standards, we provide each Residential Care facility with their own dedicated pharmacist, who is available for any queries, questions  or changes to your resident’s medication profiles. By having a Dedicated Facility Pharmacist available who knows and understands your facility, your staff and your residents it makes communication far easier and greatly reduces the chances of any possible errors. Our team of professional, experienced and dedicated pharmacists and technicians are ready and able to  service your residents’ and facility’s ongoing needs.

Great response and turnaround time

This includes a scheduled and reliable seven day a week delivery service to all facilities by our own staff, not couriers or contracted delivery drivers. We individualise our delivery schedules to suit the needs of each facility in order to deliver an efficient and cost effective service.

All orders and medication changes are processed and delivered on the same day, while all urgent changes and requests are delivered within a 2 hour window.

As part of our service we offer no packing or delivery charges.

Imprest Cupboard

We can establish and manage an Imprest Cupboard in your facility to ensure immediate access to a range of urgent medications.

MAC Meetings

Your Dedicated Facility Pharmacist will attend your regular Medication Advisory Committee meetings, and contribute to maximising the Quality Use of Medicines within your facility.

On-site Pharmacist visits

Your Dedicated Facility Pharmacist will visit your facility and check medication charts on a regular basis. This enables us to audit medication charts against our regularly packed medications to ensure that supply is based exactly on each resident’s doctor’s written instructions. This also provides a face to face opportunity for the facility to discuss and report on any aspect of the service we provide.

RMMR Services

We actively support the Quality Use of Medicines and are able to offer an Accredited Pharmacist to provide Residential Medication Management Review services to your facility on a regular and ongoing basis.

Visiting GPs

We may be able to provide assistance in sourcing GP’s to visit your facility on a regular basis.

Drug Trolleys

We can provide your facility with the most appropriate drug trolleys to ensure your staff are performing at their optimal levels.

Staff Education

Our Pharmacists are able to provide your facility with regular continuing education seminars for your staff on topics specific and relevant to your facility.

Resident Billing

We promptly handle all account and billing enquires, to ensure your staff don’t need to.

Highest Packing Accuracy

We use innovative and automated scanning and checking processes to ensure packing accuracy, and provide the facility with extra reassurance and peace of mind. We have processes in place to ensure all packs are scanned, photographed, and checked for accuracy multiple times at every stage of the process, ensuring we achieve one of the highest packing accuracy rates in the industry. For us, it’s all about providing the Right medication to the Right Patient at the Right time.

Ensuring minimal errors and maximising accuracy levels is a major distinguishing feature of any pharmacy service. All pharmacy incidents are viewed as an important means of self-improvement. We ensure all incidents are addressed immediately and processes implemented to prevent reoccurrence.

Dispensing Data Reports

We are able to provide your facility with regular reports giving you important data and statistics on specific drug usage. These reports are intended to improve the Quality Use of Medicines and identify opportunities for improvement in resident care.

These reports can include:

• Antibiotic usage reports, including names of residents and prescribing doctors
• Use of specific therapies such as analgesics, antipsychotics, antidepressants and hypnotics, again including the names of residents and prescribing doctors

Incident and Intervention Reports

We are able to provide Incident and Intervention Reports, indicating pharmacy errors, doctor errors and facility errors. Most importantly we indicate the resolutions achieved, which is useful information for MAC meetings. Our focus is on better outcomes for residents and total transparency with regard to the services and supplies that we provide, giving you the confidence of knowing that everything is being done at the highest possible standards. All incidents are resolved promptly no matter how big or small.

Facility Accreditation

Our vast experience working with Residential Care facilities means we are able to proactively assist our facilities reaching and maintaining accreditation. We will ensure you facility meets and exceeds Accreditation Standards and Guidelines with respect to your Medication Management processes.
